Quality control

To safeguard the safety and quality of our activities, we take care to comply with applicable legislation and the guidelines drawn up by a number of major (inter)national organizations.

National legislation 

Matchis Nederland complies with national laws and regulations, including the Human Tissue Act (Safety and Quality) (WVKL). Matchis Nederland is recognized by the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport as a tissue establishment and authorized to distribute blood stem cell products for transplantation purposes.    

European guidelines for tissues and cells 

Matchis Nederland safeguards the safety and quality of the cells it distributes in accordance with the WVKL and applicable European directives and regulations. These pertain to donating, obtaining, testing, processing, storing and distributing human cells. 

World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA) 

In January 2008, Matchis Nederland was certified by the WMDA as confirmation of its compliance with WMDA standards (www.wmda.info). As part of the accreditation cycle, Matchis successfully completed the certification process again in 2022 and is due for recertification in 2026.
